Occupy Photos from October

I took these the day after Occupy protesters had a major clash with the police, and there was major tension in Oakland. I took these from the Sunset trail in Joaquin Miller Park in the Oakland hills. Definitely worth the hurried trip up there with my tripod. You may notice the police and news helicopters keeping an eye on things.

Selling Prints at Uptown Body and Fender Tonight

Uptown Body and Fender has been very generous in allowing us to show and sell our work out their space, as well as hiring 3 of our artists to do a mural in their parking lot. They are a true patron of the arts here in Oakland.

It’s been great having so many people come in every month to Uptown and see our work. One thing that is difficult about being an artist is getting regular feedback from the public, and there is no shortage of public or feedback at the Art Murmur.

I’ll have a bunch of small prints, mostly under $100 up tonight, including these cheeky semi-nude screen prints. They are all numbered 1/1, which means they are all different. I used different inks and paper, and have a few on wood panel. Stop by and pick one up for $40 for paper, 50 for wood.

And as long as you are down in Oakland, check out Marcos LaFarga at Sticks and Stones Gallery at 815 Broadway. I haven’t seen the show yet, but I’ll bet it’s freakin awesome.
